I do not know why the other 3 reviewers wrote such horrible reviews of this classic restaurant. Stag'n Doe Pizza House is incredible! Simple and rustic yes...no frills decor. However the quality food more than makes up for it. And actually the rustic atmosphere adds to the old time charm of this place. I have been told that the owners cut all their own meat which would probably be WHY this place has such excellent quality steaks. And they also get their seafood from Myrtle Beach from what I hear. If you get a steak make SURE to splurge and get the Skewer of Fresh Shrimp as an add on to your meal! If you like Cajun seasoning it comes prepared like that if not just tell them please cook them plain no seasoning. They bring you a cup of drawn butter to dip them in and the shrimp are some of the sweetest I have ever tasted. I hear they also have excellent Pizza however every time I got there I get a steak! Either the Ribeye or the Porterhouse are my two favorites. I am not from this area and I have also worked in a 5 star French Restaurant in Michigan and this food here.....with its rustic atmosphere is one of the best restaurants I have had the pleasure of eating at in the 9yrs I have lived in this area. less

I had heard alot about this restaurant. Unfortunately it was overrated. The back woods decorating led alot to be desired. Especially after seeing the prices that they charged. However, the steak that I ate, sirloin, was thick and juicy. But I just didnt enjoy it as much with the red plastic glasses and the very dark room. I wont go back. less
