I just tried this restaurant yesterday for the first time and am sad to say that the restaurant is worse than before. I agreed with everything that Lucinda said in her review. The service is much slower than before. And I ate on a Saturday evening too. Took what seemed like 10 minutes for the first item to come to our table, which was shrimp chow mein. It was not a large serving, even for two people. The mein was not the usual that other restaurants and also what the predecessor uses. I heard that they were known for xiao long baos and of course, had to try it. Well, it was okay. Just was not the best as there was not much broth, which is how you can usually tell is a good xiao long bao. And I have had better ones. When the bill came, I found out that they overcharge me for the shrimp chow mein by 30 cents and took it up with the waitress who placed the bill on our table. She said that she could not change it and to let the cashier know. That in itself is very bad. I will not return to this place for the bad service. Besides, it is a very bad sign when there are several waitresses standing around and/or walking around the restaurant every few minutes. And on top of that, it is on a Saturday evening, when the place should be packed. less

I am sorry to say that this restaurant has changed hands. It is now called Spring Garden. The service was really, really slow and the food is not as good as it was before. I will check in a few months to see if anything has improved, though I will say that the outlook isn't very good. I'm afraid my favorite green onion pancakes, dumplings and noodles have now gone AWOL. less

This is an update to my review on 12/31 even though it doesn't list my user name. If you are looking for very juicy, tender shao lung bao dumplings, you have to make sure to get here within the first 1 and half hours of opening. The dumplings are impeccably fresh and tender...almost transcedent in experience with juicy flavor bursting in your mouth. I thought they had good dumplings...but after getting them first thing several times now, I now believe these are some of the best I've had outside of China. Even if you can't get them super fresh, they are still really good any time of day. Also, I should note that if you go there, stick to the Chinese lunch type items. The dinner choices are not that great and I would pass on the set menu. This is not their strength. less

Like the first review, this is the sister restaurant, which is in San Jose. The food is excellent. The pork and baiyi noodle soup, the beef stew noodle soup, the Shanghai style fried noodle, the green onion pancakes and the fried and steam Man-tou are the best entrees. Yes, the cho do fu is very popular here, but I've never had it. And yes, the parking is really tough during weekday lunch hour and on the weekends. less
