My family has enjoyed eating at this reasturant several times. We are very pleased with not only the service but the great food. I have even enjoyed sharing a few very special moments with my wife at this establishment that we both will cherish for ever. I can say to anyone that does read these testimonials that they to will enjoy this place as much as we have. The food is fantastic and you can never be served food that does not meet your fullest satisfaction. The manager is great and will replace any food item that you do not like and has never charged us anything extra for it. At the same time they are always smiling and let you feel like they are really wanting you to be happy with the service and food. On one occasion my wife and I were eating our dinner when a very intoxicated patron was being very rude to the server and the manager keeping his cool kept him under control and even got him happy before he got worse. So we can honestly say that we love this place and will return several times again in the future for years to come. You to will enjoy this restaurant as much as we have I am sure. Fabulous! That is the only word that can describe this place. I just loved it. If there is any food that is heavenly it is this barbacue joint. I stuffed myself until i could not eat anymore. Their BBQ chicken is just so delicous that it melts in your mouth. Their baby back ribs, just delicious. I must warn that you must go on an empty stomach because you will stuff your self like you have never had, you will simply just keep ordering more and more food. I rate this place as the best BBQ restaurant in Washington State. less

Smokey's Family Barbeque has been changed to O'Doherty's Irish Pub & BBQ Cater Co. <br> My husband, Terry, and I have owned this location as an Irish Pub since May 1, 2002. We have taken it a step at a time in making improvements to the building and atmosphere, and have made the place a clean and fun place to eat and enjoy time with friends. <br> Because the BBQ meats of Smokey's were so popular, we decided to purchase the smoker as part of the business and continue to offer the BBQ on the menu as well as grow a BBQ Catering business. All of the meats are of the highest quality and are authentically barbequed using a proprietary dry rub and then slow-smoked (9-20 hours depending on what type of meat) over Apple Wood in a large Texas-style smoker--right on premise. Our chef, Tony, was directly trained in this southern-style barbeque by the Southern expert who directed the process when Smokey's was formed. <br> The catering menu includes a number of side dishes to accompany the meat choices and we cater company meetings, picnics, wedding receptions, reunions, etc. <br> In addition to the BBQ offerings (pull-pork, burnt ends, sausage, turkey, beef brisket, ham, ribs), the in-house menu features a number of great Irish-American selections such as Corned Beef & Cabbage, Guiness Beef and Guiness Beer-Battered Fish & Chips. We also have a great steak--the Tullamore Dew Whiskey Steak, served with mashed potatoes & gravy and salad. Plus we offer traditional burgers and chicken sandwiches. We have two extremely popular sandwiches--the Hooligan Hannigan (our unique version of the Rueben) and the New York Corned Beef Sandwich. Our corned beef is some of the best around. We have a proprietary recipe and slow cook the meat. Some people have said it is the best they have ever had. <br> We occassionally have special music and events and keep our locals informed through email. Boy, I wonder if I was at a different restaurant than those other guys. (Yes, I was at the same location, just had a different experience.) I call this kind of food "imitation barbeque" because it is sort of like what someone who has never really had a good rib thinks barbeque should taste like. I suspect that they steam or boil their ribs, which cooks them quicker but forces out all the real pork flavor, then they try to cover up the lack of real taste with sauces. That's not what barbeque is all about. As for the peanuts, I really hate those shells getting in my shoelaces and pants cuffs. less
