Smithfield Station has been a favorite place to go out to eat since they opened. The Pack family do a wonderful job. The food is delicious (especially the crab cakes) and the service is A-one. These people CARE about you, treat you like neighbors and I don't know anyone who has been disappointed in the place or the food. I also want to comment on their generosity. I called them to see if they would like to contribute to the troops in Iraq. Our church has a military mission, sending care packages every two or three months to the troops. They not only contributed, but I was astounded that they gave 300 cookies which the staff made. They packed them in my car and my husband and I packaged them and mailed them. The troops loved them and were very appreciative. We send to about 700 troops, mostly National Guard and reservists from Va. You can believe the people in my church, including myself and my husband, will always hold Smithfield Station as special and want to eat there often! Very few restaurants in the country can be reached by car AND by boat. Smithfield Station offers the plushness and menu of the finest restaurants, as well as a full marina and hotel. New banquet facilities have been added in the last few years to accomodate large gatherings and parties in pure elegance. The food is expertly prepared by the finest chefs, and the atmosphere will keep you coming back for more. There is also a sun room for those patrons who like being surrounded by natural light, and you can also eat outdoors on the deck. A full bar is inside, and live entertainment is provided on Wednesday nights. less
