Last week my buddies and I had ourselves a great time at Slickers Bar in Old Forge, NY. <br> We rode the sleds hard all day and were really looking forward to treating ourselves to some good food and some kick-ass live music. <br> We arrived both thirsty and hungry but had a good working knowlegde from our previous experieneces in Old Forge that Slickers would be able to supply the quality food and drink that we needed to substain us. <br> As an added treat to the great food and drink, Slickers served up a heaping batch of Southern Rock and Blue Grass music in the form a live four piece band. These guys were great. They played our favorite southern tunes better than the original artist. They played Allman Brothers, Marshall Tucker, Lynard Skynard, BB King and many, many more. <br> This incredible four piece band featured a crank-in lead guaitar player (a mix between Greg Allman and BB King). The Keyboard player was out of this world, that guys was smokin & jamm-in. The Drummer was fantastic and the Base player was so cool, man.................., that guy was chillin. Just kickin with his legs crossed and playing his bass like he was in his own little world. This dude was cool. <br> These guys were so cool. These guys were so cool that they allowed my one buddy Kirk to sit in and play a set with them. My buddy Kirk, aka "Captain" plays a mean mouth harp and melded right in with these guys. What a blast for everyone there. <br> I give Slickers in Old Forge, NY a 5+ Stars on there abliity to provide me and my group with an excellent experience. <br> Thanks again; <br> We be back soon.
