The sign outside proclaims Skeeter's has sold over 6 million hot dogs and I believe it. They sure were slinging them during the lunchtime I visited. The hot dogs are really good, as is the turkey sandwich. No fries here, just chips you grab yourself. The building is a step back in time and the adorable lady working the cash register stole my heart! less

This is a historic building (birthplace of Edith Wilson - wife of President Woodrow Wilson). They serve the best hot dog you will ever eat with all the trimmings - slaw chopped so fine it's a mush, homemade chili, etc. It's nothing fancy, but pure All American. A limited menu, open from early morning for breakfast and closes early (around 5:30 p.m.)They still serve 6 oz. Cokes in glass bottles!!! less
