Formerly Cantone's, Sibie's has been a favorite of mine for
years, comparable in my personal (limited) experience to the best
pizzas I've had. They are consistant, they don't have bits
of other people's burned slices hanging off of yours (like at Antonio's
downtown), they're not extremely greasy like Bruno's (though
I like Bruno's and even Antonio's on occaision). People who
don't like food soaked in grease (albeit good food) should watch
out for their non-pizza items, but-- I mean, get real-- what are you
really looking for if you need good pizza but live in random college
town, USA? You're certainly not going to find anything of the Albert's
of Long Island quality, but since when is that an easy acheivement anyway?
Down to details, Sibie's cheese, crust, and sauce are all quality,
and me and at least one other New Yorker I know both agree that they are
the best around. Of course, if you're from Boston or elsewhere,
I presume that you are probably interested in slightly different tasting
pizzas, so I can't speak for everyone, but I like it and would take
it over, say, Uno's Pizza, just about every day.
