when in new orleans, one should not miss this little thai restaurant/venue at the edge of the french quarter. also called the dragons den, siam has one of the most relaxed atmospheres of any restaurant i've ever eaten in with the exception of the howling frog (r.i.p.) in portland, or. the food tastes great, & if you practice a vegan or vegetarian diet, this place (among a very select few in the area) offers more than one selection. you can choose to eat in the restaurant or outside. inside, you can listen to whatever band plays that night, while outside often you will find diversions for individuals with 'more discriminating tastes'. two for one sake night on mondays always packs them in. a very festive & laid back atmosphere. worth checking out! less
