No damn discount's for prominent society figures! Rubbish. The food was horrible and tasted like it was 3 days old instead of the fresh, piping hot entree's at Benni Hanna. Yes, this place and that other dump Shogun are both owned by the same owners. You pay way too much and get dog food instead! Keep out of this place. Daruma's Sushi gave my wife Laurie food poisoning. The food tasted like it was frozen out of the box and the owners are southern rednecks - not a hint of Japanese. I've had a better meal at Publix. Stay away from the place. <br> For a great dining experience visit: LECHAMPS in the Avondales. It is exclusive and will pamper your every need. They even recognize you when you enter the door. Oh LECHAMPS is wonderfully appointed with a gracious waitstaff. The South African Lobster is flown in daily. Oh meal to die for. The Chateaubriand with LeChamps sauce Barbara melted in my mouth. You could taste the fresh Rosemary and delicately roasted garlic. My wife Laurie an I dine there at least once a week. That's LeCHAMP'S of the Avondales. Tell them Arthur Crofton sent you. As a native Japanese...this place was horrible! It just goes to show that the majority of people will eat anything if you charge a lot of money and say it is exclusive! The service was slow and unprofessional. The food must have sat out for atleast 3 or 4 hours. Where is the freshly prepared meals that this place is always advertising???? My wife Yuko nearly fainted when the tempura dish came complte with a dead spider in it. The management wouldn't even give us our money back. Stay away from this place. The board of health we be in soon to close it down. less

My wife Laurie had gas for 3 days after dining at the Shogun. Horrible food, crappy environment and snippy wait staff! Stay away from this place.
