A very good place to get fish and chips. They do have generous portions on most of their meals. The menu is mostly seafood but they also have English meals such as Bangers and Mash and Shepards Pie. Service is good. It is hard to get in during the summer and weekends. Try it if you are in the area. less

What a neat place to have a meal. We were seated by the window and had a great view of the river, the Astoria bridge, and the trolley. The food was very good and the portions are large. I elected to have the full sized seafood platter. I could not do it justice. The seafood was fresh and tasty; the batter was a little too thick for our tastes but still very good. The day we were there the full platter included cod, halibut, prawns, scallops, and oysters (2 of each) alongside coleslaw and fries. Eat an early lunch so you have time to walk it off. less

Astoria itself is a wondeful town that is right on the outlet to the Pacific Ocean. I only had one night to stay and I found the Ship Inn. It has very good food and good service. You can get a view of the ocean outlet. There also is an old fasioned trolly that goes by on the tracks right by the restaurant as well. All in all, a good place to eat, especially for people on vacation. Enjoy! less

The Ship Inn is by far THE BEST SEA FOOD Rest. in the Pacific Northwest. The "British pub" feeling and wonderful view of the Columbia River makes this place a MUST for all traveling to Astoria. My favorite item on the menue is the "Full Combonation" which includes Scallops, Oysters, Prawns, Squid and of course the Ship Inns famous Halibut along with chips and slaw. Enough to feed an Army. The Clam Chowder is a show stopper as well. The "Ship Inn" Gets a 5 star Thumbs up from me!! less
