My husband & I brought our mother-in-law there for her birthday and had a terrible meal / service!! We have gone there in the past and it was great, but they changed ownership and is definetely not worth the money or your time. - First of all, they stuck us in this corner in the back, near the non-working fans / air conditioners, our waitress was terrible & slow, the place looked very cheap & run down, they have paper place mats & there tables are covered with a clear, plastic, cheap, liner! The ceiling tiles were stained, due to an obvious leak from a while ago! I ordered the special (and most expensive entree "Stuffed Lobster") & was disgusted when I went to go eat part of the lobster tail and came across a bunch of red, cooked, slimy, lobster eggs (that weren't removed before or after being cooked)... less

I believe that this used to share ownership, but certainly ambiance, with the Griswold Inn in Essex and the Three Village Inn in Stony Brook NY. The Prime Rib is excellent as is the seafood. Located on the grounds of the Mysti Seaport Museum, the view overlooking the Mystic River is very nice. Outdoor dining is available under a large tent. If you are a member of the Seaport, you will get 10% discount on dinner when you show your membership card. less
