The bread is what made them famous!!! Sheepherders, or the cheese breads (several flavors) are great. The best kept secret is that they have some of the best sandwiches on hiway 395. Worth the stop, except maybe on a holiday weekend when you can' ... more

Excellent bakery with a small area to sit after standing in lines to order sandwiches, coffee, etc. Although large, this place is predominantly a bakery with just a few places to sit. Think of it as a Bavarian-Swedish version of Western Bagel. It is, however, a very good bakery. There is no "service" per se. You stand in lines at the counters to order - get your food and then grab a table and sit down. less

Cant say much for their Sheepherders Bread...a bit bland, but the cookies and so forth are good for a snack on the road after you leave Bishop. less
