A Fall River Legend Fall River is the home to a large Lebanese community, mostly Maronite Christians that emigrated at the turn of the century. So it is natural that Fall River is home to two Lebanese Bakery’s- Sam’s Bakery(the largest and oldest) and Georges Bakery. Sam’s Bakery bakes everything fresh everyday and uses an old brick oven. This Bakery is unique as it has quite a menu. Excuse my spelling on some of the Lebanese products. Ma nish’ – A spiced pita bread(thyme, sumac, sesame) Triangular meat pies Lebanese Bread-similar to pita only it is thinner Sesame Bread. Open meat pies Much much more. Lebanese Products Remember there are no preservatives and when you are there do yourself a favor and inhale. You just don’t get this type of experience of a working bakery anywhere. When we visit Fall River it's the first place I go! I can't say enough about Sam's Bakery, if your ever in the area (I'll borrow a line from Dunkin Donuts) "it's worth the trip".
