My family and I first experienced a "ripper" fried wiener there in the late forties. I learned then the place had been a front to a speak-easy during prohibition. <br> In October 2003 most of the attnedees to Rutherford High School Reunion for the class of '52 managed to get over to Clifton to savor again the flavor of a "euipper ", fries and a beer. <br> Nothing had changed except the price.
