I used to love this restaurant, however when I visited in Dec 2006, it was awful....the white chowder was watery and had no taste. The red chowder so much thicker than it used to be. My daughter ordered a chicken sandwich for $5.50. When it was served it was on a bun with a plain chicken breast. When we asked for lettuce, tomato and mayonaise we were told they did not have lettuce or tomato and only provided tarter sauce for the sandwiches. We demanded and received our money back. The clam cakes however are still delicious! less

My experience here was aalmost too fabulous to describe. The food is prepared super quick. I had the tastiest crab cakes, I ever had eaten. The clam chowder was also right on the mark. I guess I should have expected that since chowder is mentioned in the name, and we are in Rhode Island... Anyhow, I had the traditional New England Style chowder which was just perfection, and my friend haad the Manhattan, which was enjoyed to the last drop. a truly great place to go for a seafood craving. It won't completely dry up your wallet either. less
