I've been to lots of brew pubs and similar restaurants, but Rock Bottom is a bit different. They brew their own beer on site and have great deals throughout the week (such as the Mug Club). The beer is top notch (this coming from somewhat of a beer connoisseur). The food is also awesome if not a bit pricey. It also has a great atmosphere to relax with some friends. less

Thre are two Rock Bottoms in the San Diego area, one in La Jolla and one in the Gaslamp. I went in expecting the same pub grub and unimaginative beer choices, but was very pleased to find a menu full of fun finger foods, big steaks and inventive salads. Try the Titan Toothpicks or the Hickory Burger, you'll love them -- but don't forget to sample their wild beer choices in their six-beer sampler. <br> Also, in March, they have their annual Firefighter Ale and a little festival to honor our heroes, including a Fireman Auction for the gals. less
