I've yet to have a bad meal here and I also have yet to try the pizzas, which are baked in an old time brick oven. Rock Bottom is versatile enough to provide a meal for the family when you're out with the kids or a more intimate dinner for two. We've been there for both and have enjoyed both experiences. less

Rock Bottom combines the best of excellent food and excellent beer. Unlike many brewpubs which serve average to mediocre food at best, Rock Bottom serves excellent food to go with their excellent beers. Even though I detest chain restaurants, Rock Bottom is a chain that succeeds because of their attention to quality. The portions, in addition to being good, are large, so if you're not that hungry, one of their appetizers might be enough to satisfy your hunger pangs. They serve excellent pizzas prepared in a wood-fired oven, along with such items as seared ahi tuna and calamari. Make sure you ask for their beer specials, because they generally offer a specialty beer at least once a month. And I respect the fact that they only sell their beers on premises. If you want a crappy Bud or Bud Light, go elsewhere, my friend. I highly recommend the White Tiger Wheat, the Brown Bear Ale, or the Hefeweizen if it's in season. Add the food and beer to the fact that it's located right on Fountain Square, with a large patio available in season, and food available until the wee hours of the morning most nights, you have a winner in Rock Bottom Brewery. less
