The Rice Bowl is arguably the best Oriental restaurant in Tallahassee. This is no super-cheap Chinese buffet or typical take-out; it is a small, quiet, dimly lit restaurant on the northwest edge of town. The restaurant is divided into a sushi bar and a dining section, which consists of private booths separated by bamboo.
The great thing about the Rice Bowl is its diverse menu. You can choose from Chinese, Japanese, or Thai, and there are several options of each type of cuisine. Portions are generous, and the entrees are accompanied with rice or lo mein noodles. I haven't tried the sushi, but they have a very extensive sushi menu, too. There is also a soup and salad bar.
The cooking is delicious! I love the Shrimp with Vegetables and the Vegetable Delight. Also, you can get authentic oolong, green, and other hot teas. The prices are very reasonable for the large and tasty portions. less
