Rene Pujol is another of the "Pre-Theater Restaurants" located in the Broadway Shows neighborhood of Manhattan. The atmoshpere is rustic country French, with wooden beams, paneled walls, and copper pots and pans hanging everywhere. The food is not, however, as good as found in "Les Pyrennes French Restaurant", owned and operated by this owner's brother Jean Claude Pujol (one wonders why since it is the same family?). The fish and seafood dishes are good, as well as the lamb, and the filet mignon. Desserts are very rich! I still prefer "Les Pyrennes" operated by the brother of the owner of this restaurant. less

let me start off by saying that this rating is too low. Rene Pujol's is one of the classiest restaurants that I've ever been too. It has a very romantic atmosphere and is perfect for a pre theatre meal. They have wonderful specials here. My husband and I have had wonderful lamb with mint sauce as well as tender filet mignon and outstanding raspberry napolean surrounded by a white chocolate coulis and rapsberry vinagratte. The service is superb, here they cater to your every need. Bon Appetit. less
