Primos Italian Restaurant is located in downtown Defiance. With an adjoining lounge, the Spartan, dimly lit restaurant serves a nice selection of Italian dishes. I tried the homemade ravioli with meatballs. The pasta was cooked al dente and the marinara sauce was tasty. The meatballs were small and rubbery, but tasty also. Unfortunately, the interior of the ravioli was ice cold. After I sent it back, my waitress returned with the dish at proper temperature and lots of apologies. The waitstaff really hustle and are quite attentive. The house salads are plain and lack color - chopped head lettuce, a sprinkling of mozzarella cheese and two or three black olive rings. I was starved, however, and inhaled it. Is it the best Italian restaurant I have been to? Hardly. Would I return and give them another chance? You bet! I have my eye on the homemade gnocchi. The parmiagianas also look interesting.
