Portofino serves Mediterranean cuisine with a focus on Italian and seafood. Casual dining on the main floor surrounds the Panini bar.You can see some of the sunset from the deck area, and the restaurant faces Charlotte Harbor. All of the tables have a great view of the harbor. This is clearly a cut above the rest in Charlotte county - I had an Italian seafood Fruto de Mer and it was the absolute best I have ever eaten. my dining ocmpany had fresh salmon topped with a lemon caper sauce and it was done to perfection and delicious. Service was impeccable, and the wine list was one of the best in the area. This is a second floor dining establishment, and an elevator is available fo those who do not like to climb stairs. I would suggest reservations as the reataurant was full on a Monday night and out of season. It is a little mroe expensive than most restaurants in the area, but well worth the cost. less
