I was going to give this place a try next week, but after reading the review dated January 2, 2007, I've reconsidered. Based on that Dine.com Review, the owner sounds rude and overbearing. Sorry, but I won't be eating at this place. There are too many other good places to eat in Central Brevard without having to suffer sarcastic comments from a surly restaurateur. less

Food is marginal, owner is a jerk - even the employees agree! My family and I recently returned to Cocoa Beach after moving to Las Vegas a year ago. We had previously enjoyed dining at Portabello's and decided to take some friends there on the 23rd of December. What a mistake! The food was not as good as we remembered and when we commented on it, the owner "Frankie" confronted us regarding our comments. To paraphrase what he said - "Tough, overcooked shrimp are OK as long as the scallops are properly prepared" and "I make my sauces my way and I am not going to change them for one customer - regardless of the fact menu indicates a "Francese" sauce." Frankie then walked through the restaurant and loudly announced "Everyone is having a great time except table 8". Note there was no request on our part to have anything deducted from the bill and we tipped the full 20% as the services was good. We were merely commenting on our disappointment with the food preparation. As a long time resident of Brevard County I was shocked at the extremely rude response we go from the OWNER of the establishment. This was without question the worst conduct I have ever experienced or witnessed while dining. Please keep our experience in mind next time you wish dine in Central Brevard..... less

We loved the bread! DOn't go when you can't eat carbs - this is bread you can't say no to. When we walked in last Tuesday, we were in a hurry. My husband asked the host how long it would take because we had somewhere to be (this was at 12:00 - Lunch Time!). He took care of us himself and got us in and out within 20-30 min! We were so pleased with the service and food we are definately going back! My husband got a wonderful swiss steak sandwich and I got the antipasto salad. The antipasto was delicious with a sweet hint of flavour. less

Beautifully appointed country Italian atmosphere. Nightly specials from veal to mussels most with a Northern Italian flair. Good to Fine wine list and Italian beers too.
Unique dishes like the Creamy pesto make your mouth happy to taste. Everything to order. The mussels Diablo is a joy. The Portobella Mushroom is a meal in itself.
The sausage, bread and pasta are all made fresh form scratch on premises and the deli has a very nice selection of take home. Capachino you can float a quarter on.
