The "chowda" wasn't bad either (I got the white - they also have red)! The scallop sandwich was also very good. Be prepared to protect your food from birds flying around - but don't let that stop you from going. less

This is a nice grad and go type of restaurant. We love to pick food up here and then go have a picnic at Shelter Island. The food is always fresh and tasty. There is also a sheltered area where you can eat there. And also some picnic tables in the front area. The prices are great for the quality of food you are eating! It is nice to sometimes eat there and then take a walk on the pier where the boats dock. We have even been lucky enought to sight a couple of seals playing in the water. If you're on a budget and want some great tasting seafood give this place a look see. Enjoy! less

It's a Pain to Park there, there's usually a wait for a Spot in their small lot. Ordering your Food, is almost always Chaotic and Crowded.. but, this place is well worth the trouble. Point Loma Seafoods is really a Fish Market, that also sells food. So, they have some of the freshest fish in town. I've been eating there for years, and I've really enjoyed almost every meal. I've tried everything from the Fish Sandwich on Sourdough, to Crab Cakes; and the Clam Chowder is some of the Best that I've ever had. They also have everything from Sushi to Oysters on the Half Shell. Since, it's a Market you can also buy Fresh Fish to take home.. as well as live lobsters; Ceviche; Pickled Herring; Smoked Salmon; etc. If it's Seafood, they've got it there. less

A San Diego institution, they have been in business for some thirty years. One orders at the counter and waits for his order number to be called. Excellent, very fresh and well prepared seafood of every kind imaginable. Primarily a lunch or very early dinner place, as they close around 6 PM. Very good value, considering price and quality. If you like seafood, you will love this place. less
