I agree that it's a little pricey, however if you are a card holder for the casino (which is free) you can save a dollar off each person. They have a better than average selection of the various types of food and a nice atmosphere. The food it ... more

Sunday Champagne Brunch at $15.99 a person seemed a little expensive, but the food was generally very good. It's hard to rate a buffet, as everyone can pick what they like and there is a tremendous selection to choose from at the Island Buffet. The "light show" etc. was mediocre, but the food was worth the price of admission. The Buffet included Asian, Salad, Mexican, Grille, and Seafood sections as well as the famous (or infamous) Desserts! As a diabetic who usually eschews desserts, I was pleasantly suprised to find a large selection of sugar-free options. The Sunday brunch included omelettes cooked to order, King Crab, Prime Rib, and an amazing selection of fresh fruits. Seating is a little to close to allow private conversation, but otherwise a fine dining experience. less

I went to the newly rebuilt Island Buffet at the Peppermill for lunch. I like what they have done - they have given it a nice atmosphere - moving trees, falling water, and the occasional storm show. The food was ok, but nothing really stood out at me as "I've got to come back here and have more of their ______." Based on all of that, I think the price is a bit high and should be lowered a couple of bucks. I'll probably try their breakfast to see how it is, but I only see myself going here once in a rare while (mostly due to the price). less

I love the Island Buffet! Can you say "ALL YOU CAN EAT LOBSTER?" It's true, every Friday night. Yes, it is pricer than most in town but well worth it. In fact, it's a real bargain. By the way, they have discounts for seniors and casino employees (any casino, not just the Peppermill).
It costs $40 to $50 for a couple to go out anywhere these days and my husband and I can never decide where to go. This way we both get what we like. I can have seafood and Chinese while he has steak and Mexican. Voila, no more indecision and petty arguements.
So go already! And try the Bananas Foster with real vanilla bean ice cream. It's heaven! less
