I cannot recommend this place. The pizza is over priced, the mexican food offered is several levels below Taco Bell and the atmosphere is never changing -- cheap, dark and smokey although a city wide ban on smoking is about to go into effect. The ... more

We have always had our team parties at Pappi's Pizza when I was a young child and now my family has their parties there. It is a great place for families. The food is very good and made fresh. The employees are friendly. I don't smoke myself and there are non-smoking areas to sit, but I prefer to sit in the back area by the big T.V. and where all the people are. It is a fun place to go with friends. I noticed my entree price is different from the others. I figured a per person price, not a large or medium pizza price that will feed a number of people. less

Pappi's is a great place. It is true the place is dark and doesn't look the cleanest in the world, but that's a pizza/pub for you. I think it adds to the atmosphere. Not to mention the fact that their pizza is superb, probably some of the best pizza in the K.C. area. They offer a hand tossed type of crust. If you are looking for thin crust pizza, probably the best place to go is D'Bronx in Westport. Antonios Pizza on Main near 39th street in Kansas City, MO also has some good pizza, but it is a walk up stand with no place to sit and I wouldn't suggest going there after dark. Those are probably the best three pizza places in town. less
