We arrived at 9:30 AM on a Friday thinking this would be a work day and provide more of a chance to be seated. The parking lot on the south side was completely full and so was the small space on the north side of the building. There was one space left for street parking on the side street to the north.
The waiting area was full but I wondered up to the cash register where they were taking names. Said it would be about a 10 minute wait. That's about right. I ordered bacon and eggs and my wife ordered the strawberry pancakes which were like blintzes. The bacon was slightly crisp, thick and salty. Very good. The eggs were perfectly done as I had ordered them over medium. The bacon and eggs was $6.15, the strawberry pancakes were $4.85 plus two coffees and sales tax came to $14.56.
The service was excellent, the coffees were kept full and the seating comfortable. The clientele seemed to be mostly retirees in their late 60's and 70's and a few families.
The place has a lot of memorabilia posted on the walls. The restaurant was founded in 1958 and the present owner is now 91. A real landmark and excellent food. less
