This little on the roadside Cafe is the only restraunt in Oro Grande which in itself is just a hole in the road. The Cafe isn't anything to look at, but the food is superb! Try the Oro Chico/Oro Grande basket is a must! The hamburger patties are large home made, as are the fries and coleslaw that comes with a burger basket. You'd be wise to get green chili and cheese on your burger as this place is famous for it's Gr/chili cheese burgers. <br> There are other choices off the menu, and the owner occasionally has a daily special. less

Oro Chico is just a small cafe in Oro Grande. This is the only restraunt in the little town. Oro Chico is just a hole in the wall, however; they serve the best green chile cheese burger around Southern New Mexico. This one out does any other hamburger you've ever had. There are two sizes of burgers, the Oro Grande and Oro Chico. You can order the burgers as baskets or alone. The baskets come with homemade fries (skin on steak fries), coleslaw, the burger and your drink. The burger meat is cooked to order. Everything is fresh, fresh, fresh. The owner/chef also has numerous other items on his menu that are excellent including the red enchiladas. At times there is a daily special. The specials range from green chicken enchaladas, tampiqueno steak, to meat loaf. Everything and I stress everything the place has to offer food wise is excellent! This cafe is a must stop their if your going through Oro Grande. It's best not to catch them on a super busy day, however; if you do a word to the wise. Don't order anything special, and don't ask for special requests. Their is a sign on the wall that states "This isn't Burger King, and we don't do it your way." Not completly true, but on a busy day don't go asking for no onions etc. on your burger or whatever you order. Tell All or Dee that Jim sent you if you do stop buy. I quarentee you won't be disappointed in the least!! less
