A very good restaurant with good food and excellent service. I would recommend any of the soups, especially the garlic soup or the red borscht. The cabbage rolls are excellent and if they have the mixed grill special get it. Good selection of beer ... more

The place is definitely authentic, from the language in the menus to the waiters and the chefs. It's worth the experience. If you like the food it is worth coming back. The prices are ok for San Francisco standards. The over ambiance is definitely ... more

The only Polish joint in town does not disappoint. The place was packed and I had a great time. The keilbasa was excellent - juicy, tender, and filling. However, the shish kabob (lamb) was a little dry and nothing special. This place seems authientic ... more

Been there twice, so had four entrees--all excellent: cabbage rolls with mushroom sauce, duck, lamb shishkebab and beef rolls (zaza) with potato dumplings. Outstanding service and nice atmosphere. Go there if at all interested!

A nice, comfortable place and the food was good. I had duck with apple & prune, steamed vegetables, red cabbage and roasted potato. My wife had cabbage rolls which were good but too much. Others in the party had a breaded porkchop, the special was ... more

This is a good Polish eatery and should give some staunch competition and comparison to the German restaurants in town. But you also have here the wonderful Polish dumplings w/ beef, chicken or vegetables as well as the to-die-for kielbasa. Lunch se ... more

I like this kind of hearty food now and then, so I certainly cannot downgrade the place itself. For the kind of food they serve, they are EXCELLENT! For example, the pierogi were wonderful. Heavy? Of course, but I have had much heavier pierogi. In ... more

The mushroom crepes are a must to try. The combination grill (special) was done to perfection. The sauerkraut was the best I have tasted. The borscht was suprisingly mediocre. I like the "family restaurant" type atmosphere, and the authentic antique ... more

A great place for Polish specialties! Prices are reasonable and the service is great. When it comes to the food I prefer the appetizers ($5-$8) instead of the entrees. The pierogis are great, tatar is a must for the meat lover and hard to come by an ... more
