I thought that this was a nice family owned restaurant. It needs some repairs, but the food was great and the service was even better. My coffee cup was always filled. They have a large menu just about anything one could want. The price are the best in the area. If you have a family or are single and just want a good meal for a reasonable price Mountaineer is the place to go. less

This used to be a nice little family restaurant when I lived in the area. But when I was in Parkersburg in November 2006, I stopped here for a quick take-out sandwich and was shocked at how shabby the place has become. I know the restaurant is no longer on the main road (due to construction changes) but that shouldn't have affected everything. For the record, the club sandwich had rubbery bacon and limp veggies. It just isn't worth your time. go to Burger King or McDonalds less
