The PO-Boys with stale bread and attitude from the staff, didn\\\'t help in forming my opinion of Mother\\\'s. The worst suggestion I received in regards to local food.

Extremely overpriced. Po Boy was almost $13--just the sandwich. Bread
was stale and mass bakery type. Meat was processed and not home cooked
(except the chicken). Every surface of the restaurant from the buffett
holding the hot food to the table tops ...

Mother's was recommended to us by a local while we were visiting
New Orleans. Simple southern cooking, reasonable prices, and hearty
portions. I particularly enjoyed the red beans and rice.

F you plan a trip to New Orleans this is a place that has to be on
your DO TO list. The most incredible Muffelattas on the planet.
Nothing can hold a candle to them. NOTHING! The Debris sandwitch
is a specialty you won't forget.

If there is one sandwich every New Orleanian agrees about it's
Mother's Debris. Debris, for the uninitiated, is that flaky,
juicy meat that falls off in small pieces as a large roast beef
slow cooks. What some cooks might call expendable, ...

The roast beef is to die for, perhaps the best I have ever had. However
adding debris to the sandwich made it very soggy. Portions are

deal than getting two half sandwiches. I ...

The Debris Sandwich, as you get it at a place called Mother's
in New Orleans (401 Poydras Street), is like a meat version of
what I serve here. Its got bits of ham, brisket, roast beef and
all kinds of stuff, all thrown into a bun with some co ...

Okay, you are GOING to wait for a table. YES, you probably will
bump elbows with someone while you are eating (CLOSE quarters).
And GRANTED, you will likely get a no-nonsense bit of attitude
from the employees. Guess what? PART OF THE CHARM! A tri ...

Waaaaaay Too Expensive!!!!! This used to be a great place but then the tourists came. Beer is $4.50. A PoBoy is about $9.00. The food is good and the atmosphere is a little hectic. You can do as good in town without the gouge!!!
