Location: small, cozy, intimate little restaurant literally in the cellar in the middle of the street in a residential neighborhood. The place is beautifully decorated and the smells wafting from the kitchen are heavenly. A best kept secret! Cocktails are generous - not watered down at all. Wines were great. Everything served is homemade - from the salad dressings to the meatballs and ravioli. The only thing purchased is the sausage. Food is outstanding - best tomato sauce I've had in years. Portions are generous and even the garlic bread is as good as the main dishes. Service is knowledgeable, friendly and speedy considering the place was absolutely packed. The desserts and coffee after dinner were fabulous. The prices are reasonable for 100% homemade italian dishes. Three type of ravioli are offered and yes- you can get all three at once. Eggplant parm is fresh and crisp- perfect. Homemade salad dressings are phenomenal - bleu cheese was particularly outstanding. Will return again and again when the hankering for true, Mamma-made Italian hits! less
