I moved to Ohio from Clarksburg over 30 years ago. When I visit my old hometown, I always make a stop at Minards. I've been going there since the mid 50s when I was 4 years old and the great food has not changed a bit! Minards food is basic Old World Italian. Their red sauce is absolutely the best I have ever had. I was happy to see that they now sell their sauce in the frozen food section of the local Krogers. And their house salad is incomparable. Because I can buy their sauce & meatballs frozen, I have brought some back to some friends in Ohio. They also agree that it is the best they have ever had. (Too bad the salad doesn't travel well.) The only thing that has changed at Minards is that they have remodeled the exterior of their establishment, but they have done a good job of keeping with their old style. They're still located in what appears to be an old house, with the various rooms of the house serving as their dining rooms. The white table cloths & simple Old World decor is still inviting. less
