I live in Dallas, Tx but, I am a true Louisiana Girl. I have visit Mike Anderson each time over the years. The last time was in July 2005 before the storm. They offer an all u can eat catfish, and boy is it not down home good. I really love the cajun cold slaw.....what a treat. I remember one time our cruise group which included 15 people went to Mike Anderson early on a Friday afternoon and got full, would you believe we were right back that night? Well we were and this time with more friend that had come to New Orlean to join the rest of the group. Mike Anderson is quite a wonderful place to dine, have fun & relax with a good drink. This restaurant is the place to be and at a reasonable price.....how can you pass it up. less

We just went in for oysters on the half shell. They had a guy shucking them who was an absolute wizard. Too bad the rest of the staff seemed to be distracted, and wanting to either go home early, or just not see customers. Food was good, drinks ... more

Just went there a few days ago. I had The Howard, of which the fish was good enough. The rest of the platter was uneventful. The biggest turn-off was when my wife barely touched her food and the waitress didn't offer to take it off of the bill. more

Whether you are here or in Baton Rouge and you want a sure winner for delicous seafood, this is the place. I have been to both locations several times for several occations and never disappointed. The wait is sometimes long, but just pop into the bar and have a drink and a dozen on the half shell. It is worth the wait. less

I found this to be good value for the money. The oysters on the half shell were superb. I probably should have stopped there and had another dozen. The seafood salad was okay, but the bread pudding was nice. I enjoyed talking with my waitress, ... more

The seafood salad was okay, but the bread pudding was nice. I enjoyed talking with my waitress, she was very knowledgable about the French quarter. I enjoyed my meal, but except for the oysters, it was not memorable. There were a lot of drunks in the restaurant when I was there and that probably affected my enjoyment level. less
