I was in town for a business conference and was left in charge of finding a good place to dine with all my bosses. The bellman at the hotel suggested Mickey Mantle's if I was looking to impress. When we arrived we were seated promptly and were provided with a wine list that I certainly never thought they would have in Oklahoma. The whole restaurant was white table cloth and a live jazz band was feeding feeding music into the dining room from the bar. The wine steward came buy and helped me select a couple of bottles of Cabernet and the server took over from there. He suggested a few appetizers and created an assortment platter for us all to share. The tequila shrimp and and scampi crab claws have to be tried by anyone who goes there...they really were to die for. Our server helped ease the initial stuffiness of a business dinner by being funny and warm. He then made suggestions about salads and steaks with a voice that sounded like he had a secret button that he pushed that played menu suggestions...we joked that it felt like there were hidden cameras around us filming a commercial...(if he waits on you and you hear the voice, you'll know what I am talking about.) Anyway, we all had ceasars and lobster bisques which were as good as he sold them...(honestly best ceasar dressing I've had anywhere, bar none) The steaks finally came a short time after the whole staff seemed to be attentive to our table. I had the roqueford filet which was, without a doubt, the best steak I have ever had, and I have had dined at some of the best restaurants around the country. Everyone agreed that the meal couldn't have been any better and I got an A++ from my bosses. I ususally read and not write restaurant reviews but this had to be done. Who knew that Oklahoma City would have one of the best steakhouses anywhere! If you want the best, Mickey Mantle's is your only option. less

One of my absolute favorites in Bricktown. I've known friends and family to come from out of state to try this place. Excellent service. The filet mignon is melt in your mouth, and you have to try the Ceasar salad, it has a kick! The Peppercorn Steak is great too. Great place for a nice date. Make reservartions for holidays or special occasions. less
