I wish it weren't so, but unfortunately, the Metro is no more. It was wiped out by a construction project for the Univ. of Tulsa. It's been gone for several years now, but will never be forgotten by those of us who had been patrons. We still have several great 50's diner type places in Tulsa, but none that SCREAMED 50's from 3 blocks away. less

This restaurant is straight out of the 50s, with memorabilia on every wall and rock 'n roll playing in the background. The wait staff carry coin changers and are attired in concert with the diner theme. The menu features American fare and the delicious daily specials are excellent at about $6. Breakfast is moderately priced and well prepared. The Metro recently obtained a liquor license and serves a mean $.99 Marguerita! less
