On our final night in Freeport, my daughter from college and I tried the Mediterranean on School Street. It was a Sunday night and nothing much was open. One thing I noticed is that Freeport does not have an excellent restaurant, save the Harraseeket- which is OK. I had the Spanakopita and my daughter had the vegetable tiropita. Both meals were gross. Mine was burned, and the Feta tasted like it was old. My daughter's meal was "fair"- but was drowed in mushroom sauce. The salads would have been better off with dressing on the side- but were drowned in a vinagrette and too strong. It took 45 minutes to get our salads- way too long. The waitress disappeared and did not come back often- which was too bad. Would not go here again- Too bad- because Freeport is such a lovely town and does not have any standout restaurants- except maybe the Harraseeket. less
