Maxwell Silverman's is a wonderful, unexpected surprise in the heart of downtown Worcester. Wonderfully decorated, Maxwell Silverman's blends moderately upscale dining with the old feel of a warehouse boiler room, a bizarre but well done combination. The atmosphere was enhanced by a piano player and dance floor. The food was well presented and portions are large enought that one wonders if they should pay more than the menu suggests. The diamond cut filet is tops among entrees and was served perfectly medium rare. less

Maxwell's is a wonderful steak and seafood restaurant. The extensive menu's entree's range from a basic baked schrod to an elegant veal sambucca.The presentation is always very night and the food is always hot and wonderfly flavorful. The best night to visit here is thursday night.The meals are all definatly worth 5 stars, and most of the items are under $20. The head chef Bruce Nassar came up with the hottest concept anywhere for eating out. Its called The Chefs Suprise, where the chef will come up with a new creation with what items you like and keeps out what you dont like. Say you like shrimp and cream sauces and you dont like mushroooms, the chef will use his creativity and come up with an item not on the menu. Keep in mind though, the Chefs Surprise is only held on Thursday evenings The restaurant is a historical setting and is full of old machines and memravilia. The bathrooms are even wallpapered with old news paper pages. on sundays they hold a wonderful brunch. This is in the private club which is a perfect place for a private function, meeting, party, wedding etc... This area is on the 4th and 5th floors of the historic building. It is called Club Maxines. It is a very elegent atmosphere. I recomend to every one around Maxwells and urge ever body to go try it out. less
