This is a nice little restaurant located in the Pike Place market. It has a well stocked, friendly bar on one floor and the dining area on the other. Very friendly staff and the food is delicious. It can get very busy at peak times, but even then it is a nice place to dine!!! less

Maximilian-In-The-Market is located inside of the Pike Place Market not far from the bronze pig on the sidewalk outside the main entrance. Maximilian has been in the same location for 35 years and offers two floors of dining both with a excellent view of Elliott Bay. The food is excellent and the service friendly and very professional. There is a cozy bar on the second floor and I don't think there is anything you can ask for that they arn't prepared to make, and make well. The ambience is warm and a little subdued which means you can actually carry on a conversation at yout table. The service can sometimes be spotty when they're busy but who is in a hurry? <br> Tuesday through Friday 5-7 PM try the happy hour menu which includes a large bowl of mussels steamed in a delicious broth for $2.50. I said $2.50, must be the best deal in Seattle, better call to make sure they're still offering. The happy hour menu also includes beer and wine specials. Bon Appetite! less
