This is the best place in RI to eat italian. As everyone has mentioned, you get authentic food, at a great price, and always (I mean ALWAYS) leave with a take-out container. Don't drive by this place and go to one of those chain italian places. Quick, make a U-Turn and head here for the best food you will ever have. I have since moved to Florida, but every time I am back in RI, this is the first place I visit for a great itailan dinner. less

We were told they ran out of butter for our bread?! How can a restaurant not have butter? <br> Marchettis serves mouth-dropping, eye-popping portions; EVERYONE leaves with a doggie bag, and a meal here can also serve as lunch for the next two days, particularly any meal that includes pasta. You'll think they're bringing you a family style bowl of pasta, when it's really just your order. I've never had dessert here, I doubt that anyone has. Salad and bread are brought to every table gratis. less
