As a saleman I get to eat out at least once a day. Mama's is by far one of those ridiculous places that have no right being called an Italian restaurant. It should be called Mama's Somewhat Italian-ish Cafeteria. First of all let me vent my particular dislike for this place. A big bar ( the preferred seating for solo diners) without a bartender. You have to wait until the people that take your dining room order and serve the non buffet items to your table to have a moment in their spare time to serve you and treat you like you are an imposition. Hint; Get a bartender. Food is fast food a few notches below international franchises. Sorry this palce is a disaster and not worthy of another visit. I would not recommend it to anyone-even enemies. How it has been able to survive this long is a mystery. less

Real Italian cooking. Mamma's has been serving Fairfax at this location for many years and I have never been disappointed in the quality of the food or the service they provide. The salad bar is the best in the area, the pizza outstanding and the pasta is so Italian. I personally recommend this restaurant if it's great food you want. They also have a carry-out deli that makes fantastic subs, cold cuts and sandwiches and the sports bar is a great place for darts, tv, and games. less
