I have been back to this restaurant 6 times since the earlier review. There have been improvments with the recent remodeling. There are waits for a table almost every night at about 7:00 PM. I know - I go by there every night at about 7:00 PM and would eat there more often except for the line. If you do not mind the wait, it's worth it. The Oregon Fisherman's stew is great. I recntly tried the fish tacos. They were quite good but had lots of liquid running out of them so they were messy. Food is very fresh, service is excellent and deserts are great. less

The extreme popularity of Mainstream is starting to ruin it. Long, long waits. Tables are packed together oddly in some locations. Food is overall great and fresh. Would love to see some combination seafood plates. I switched to early times ... more

The extreme popularity of Mainstream is starting to ruin it. Long, long waits. Tables are packed together oddly in some locations. Food is overall great and fresh. Would love to see some combination seafood plates. I switched to early times 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM so that I could get in here to eat. Unfortunately, that's not good either. I have had two instances where there was no one at the front desk and no appeared after 15 minutes of waiting. In one recent instance I even left, called from a cell phone and asked if they were open. Went back, waited, finally one of the staff, that was eating dinner in the back, came out and seemed not happy to be bothered. There was also only one waiter on duty and no one came to the table at all after 10 minutes wait - I left for the second time. So much for going early. If you can brave the wait, the noise and the harried staff, you will get excellent fresh seafood. less

ALL THE FISH ARE JUST GRILLEDAND OUR CHEF HAS WONDERFUL SAUCES THAT ARE PREPARED DAILY AS WELL AS SOME WONDERFUL SIGNATUREDISHES LIKE OUR WONDERFUL LOBSTER SEAFOOD ENCHILADES. EVERY TUESDAY WE FEATURE MAINE LOBSTER FLOWN FRESH SERVED WITH ALL THE FIXINS FOR $12.95. EVERY EVENING WE FEATURE SOMETHING DIFFERENT ANDWONDERFUL.
