It's a little pricy, but the portions are huge, so it remains a good value. Plan on taking enough home for tomorrows dinner. Nice appropriate decor, decent blues music on the PA system, I wish they would publish a playlist so I could buy some of it. less

This is a new (opened 12-1-04) outlet of the Lucille's chain here in the Victoria Gerdens mall. The theme is southern barbecue and they do it very, very well. There are several styles of barbecue, and different assortments of meats. Some fish dishes for the non-meat eaters are available, as well as salads, but the RIBS, both beef and pork are the stars. All the combinations come with your choice of one or two sides, which are also all very good. The appetizer sampler is a meal for two in itself. There are homemade biscuits. There's a huge menu of drinks, including many exotic beers and wines as well as different fruity cocktails of all sorts. The restaurant is well-situated on the northeast corner of the mall adjacent to the AMC theatre for a dinner and a movie evening. Ampl free parking is close by. Outside dining is available. Service is fast and efficient. The desseerts, especially the bread pudding (at $5.75) are memorable. Remember though that most of the combinations (and all the desserts) can easily serve two, so order accordingly. Open at 11AM for lunch and open til 10 or 11 every night. less
