Many Mexican specialties, with my favorite the frijatas, especially the portabello mushroom frijata, with two mushrooms as big as saucers. Usually a young crowd, pleasant waitresses, and good service. As with any excellent restaurant, crowded with wait on weekends. less

Los Banditos is known to most Green Bay residents as THE place to go for Mexican food, great margaritas, and lots of fun.
On most nights, you'll find people crowded around the large bar, sipping margaritas, drinking Mexican beer, or just enjoying each others' company. Along with the various Mexican artifacts hanging on the walls, the bar provides great ambiance to diners and drinkers alike. Every patron receives a basket of nacho chips and the home-made salsa, which can have slight variations in hotness from night to night, but always has the same great flavor. If the hot stuff isn't for you, the "wimpy" salsa can be requested. Margaritas can be ordered by the drink, by the liter, or by the half liter. Regular (on the rocks), strawberry, or half of each are the flavor choices. My preferred is a liter of regular. Jeff, one of the regular bartenders knows me well enough that I don't even have to scream over the crowd to place my drink order. Just a nod, and my liter is on it's way!
At the dining table, you'll find more chips and salsa. The menu features combination platters, ala carte items, fantastic appetizers, and food suitable for the "gringo". Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chile rellanos, and the best fajitas in the Midwest are just some of the choices. No ground beef on this food! More like a "pulled" roast beef. Chicken or even seafood can be substituted for many items.
My favorite is the chicken fajita. But I always request that the vegetables be "well done". I think they've put a "burnt" button on the register to send the request back to the kitchen, just for me! The veggies are then perfectly caramelized, and, combined with whatever it is they use for the marinade, make for delicious fajitas.
A couple can usually have a great dinner for around $25. But if you order a couple of liters of margaritas, and appetizers, expect to pay $40 to $50. If you're ever in the Green Bay area watching a Packer game, stop at Los Banditos for some great Mexican fare. less
