Absolutely top notch---(You'd have to give 'The Lark' a '6'.) Attentive but not obtrusive wait-staff. Some degree of innovation while still offering some of the best standards such as loin and Wellington to be found. Desserts are sometimes innovations; they also offer very well-done regulars. Excellent, but not perfect wine list. Of particular interest is that 'The Lord Fox' is a featured locale in the "Detroit:...." series of action adventure books by Benjamin Garrick. (Google 'Benjamin Garrick'.) Although Garrick is quick to point out that the stories are 'made up', the descriptions are accurate, and he says, "Make up your own mind". He's obviously fond of 'The Lord Fox'. less

Have been primarily going there for lunch of late. In years past it used to be one of THE spots to go in the Ann Arbor area, and to some degree it lives off past laurels. I found the meals to vary in quality in more recent years. Lunch is always good, but the kitchen doesn't have the demands that it likely does at dinner. less
