I'd heard a lot about how great this restaurant was, but our first experience was wholly unremarkable. Thinking we were missing something, we went back and ordered different entrees. Still no magic. But we kept hearing such wonderful things that we simply had to try one more time. The third time was the charm for us, as we both ordered Zicronizadas (not sure of the spelling on that), which are basically glorified quesadillas with loads of fresh, tasty things crammed into them. The crabmeat version was one of the best Mexican dishes I've ever had. So then we went back one more time...and it was back to the same old ho-hum. My impression from all of this is that there are a few dishes that Las Camelias does very well--and the rest are simply mediocre. However, it must be said that the service has always been impeccable, and the decor is excellent. less
