My family and I have always enjoyed coming here after church, and the food has always been excellent. However, the service that we have received the last two times we went there vastly overshadow the food. My daughter's birthday was coming up, so we had gone there on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate and have them sing to her in Spanish. The restaurant was not crowded, so we were rather surprised when, after he had assured us it could happen, the waiter came back and said there was no one there who could sing. Mildly disappointed, we decided to return on her actual birthday (yesterday). We got the same waiter, who again assured us she would be sung to. We waited for a long time, and then he came back and said that everyone was gone. We looked around and saw many waiters still there. When I asked the cashier why they were telling people they would sing when they don't, he told me that it was up to the individual waiter whether or not it would be done. Needless to say, we are not going to be going there for a while, if ever again. less

Update to my previous review. La Potosina was truly excellent in their original location and with their original owners. But a new location and now new ownership has lowered them to very average in my opinion. Most of there dishes are very similar ... more

But a new location and now new ownership has lowered them to very average in my opinion. Most of there dishes are very similar. Now rather than drive the 2 miles in to town for La Potosina it's either Mexican at home or off to Florence for Rosies! Too bad, this was a great place in it's first incarnation. less

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT!!!! IT'S MY ABSOLUTE FAVORITE!!! EVERYTIME I EAT THERE, I GET OVERLY STUFFED FOR USUALLY AROUND 8 DOLLARS!!!!! THE BURRITOS ARE WONDERFUL AND MY FAVORITE ENTREE IS THE TAPATIO PLATTER....IT'S 2 PLATTERS FULL OF REFRIED BE ... more

THE BURRITOS ARE WONDERFUL AND MY FAVORITE ENTREE IS THE TAPATIO PLATTER....IT'S 2 PLATTERS FULL OF REFRIED BEANS, SPANISH RICE- NOT LIKE ANY OTHER'S, A BURRITO, AN ENCHILADA, A TACO SALAD, AND I CANNOT THINK WHAT ELSE, BUT I CAN ONLY HOLD HALF OF IT AND ALWAYS TAKE THE REST HOME!! WHILE YOU WAIT FOR THE FOOD, YOU GET ALL THE HOMEMADE SALSA AND TORTILLA CHIPS THAT YOU WANT AND THEY KEEP REFILLING THE BOWLS AS YOU EAT YOUR MEAL! THE SERVICE IS GREAT AND THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY!!! ALMOST EVERY TIME I GO, THE PLACE IS PACKED!! THE WHITE CHEESE DIP IS WONDERFUL TOO - BUT I'VE ALREADY ASKED WHAT'S IT MADE OF AND THEY WON'T GIVE ANY HINTS!! SO DON'T TRY THAT!
