Their menu says: "The best Mexican food in Northern California." If it isn't THE best it is certainly ONE of the best. I tend to rate most Mexican restaruants by their Chile Relleno. La Casitas was amongst the best. Their obligatory tostatas were served with a choice of mild, medium, or hot salsa. I chose the hot and although it wasn't so hot my wife couldn't eat it, it was still hot enough to satisfy my desire for spicy. Portions were generous and the meal was excellent. The ambiance was average but the food more than made up for that. It seemed a little strange having a Laotian chef come take my order, but he and his wife were the owners and the only other employee was a Hispanic waitress. Overall, a very satisfying dining experience. less
