Kubota's food is excellent. Although their shrimp tempura and beef teriyaki are mouth watering, I suggest trying something unique from the SPECIALS menu like bacon wrapped scallops, deep fried burdock chips, or the onion wrapped in beef (negimaki). The ambiance is great and the owners keep everything very clean. less

Good quality restaurant that offers a menu that is unique compared to most Japanese restaurants in the area. The taste seems to appeal mostly to Japanese nationals. I think the restaurant is owned by the same owner as nearby Gombei's. Like Gombei's it offers a lot of 'homestyle' dishes, but more upscale.
For lunch, they have bento boxes that seem to change daily. Ask the meal attendants for their suggestion, but be sure to know what you are getting. I once ordered a bento box that had fish in it...didn't know it was going to be a fish head. Come before 1130am if you want lunch parking in their lot. less
