I only go to Cascone's when I have an Entertainment Book coupon - that's really the only way it's worth it. KC has a well-known Italian population who have contributed much to the community and culture. Cascone's is one of those contributions. The food is average, perhaps authentic, but nothing more than average. The atmosphere is pure Geritol - blue hairs everywhere. Weekend evenings a small combo plays... just the kind of music you would expect a solicitous restaurant would provide to an aging clientele. The last time I visited a cook from the kitchen came out on the floor and picked a fight with a waiter for "taking his table". Whatever the internal politics, this was completely uncalled for. I scolded the cook, complimented the waiter, and alerted the manager about the situation. There is no compelling reason to return... at least until I retire. less

Johhny Cascone's has great pastas... a huge variety to choose from. I went with a traditional spaghetti and it was great. I think overall the prices were very fair considering the type of restaurant. It is no doubt better than the Olive Garden ... more

This is one of the best Italian restaurants in Kansas. Well worth the wait for a table. We started with the stuffed mushrooms at $6.95 there are 6 of them and they are stuffed with a light seafood covered with cream sauce, very good We also had toasted raviolli in red sauce $5.95 served hot with out much wait.the house salad was quite large the dressing was light and the home made bread was refilled often.I do not recommend the soup it was salty We had the Veal Carciofo$13.95, Pasta seafood $14.95.Baked Lasagna with sausage $12.95. all were very good and were made with very fresh ingreadients.They pack all the leftovers to go and use plactic wrap so it won't get on your car seats.Save room for the Lemon cake $3.95 it serves the table. mmm less
