Jack Stack is great. Food is wonderful, service is what it should be. HOWEVER, somewhere along the line, KC BBQ decided it need to go "upscale" - a bbq restaurant with white table clothes??? What's the point? Jack Stack is trying to compete with KC Masterpiece and I think they're as good or better. But they have sacrificed atmosphere for a little suburban snobbery. It does not wear well. Jack Stack must be on your must-eat-at BBQ joints, right after SmokeHouse BBQ. I highly recommend the Martin City (MO) location for a far more authentic expeience (no whote table cloths!). less

Ok, I have been to Jack Stack two times now. The first time I was very impressed. We had a very nice waitress and the food was more than excellent. The second time I went I was with a Gay friend and his boyfriend. This experience was quite upsetting. As soon as the waitress caught on to the fact that my friends were gay, she changed her whole tone. She would not come to the table even for simple things like refilling our drinks. I can not say I would recomend this restaurant to anone who is not your average "White, American, mainstream" person. NOT A DIVERSITY FRIENDLY ESTABLISHMENT less
